lot of work
Thatīs what are those days about.
But wait, isnīt making money about a lot of work? Of course! Iīm
thinking about a lot of new projects also, but I just donīt have time to
do all that work. So Iīm selecting priorities. Itīs the only way, how to
prevent transfer to psychiatric clinic.
New Site. Ehm New Sites...
I'm actually working on two projects together. After I finished
translation from Czech language to English (it wasn't that easy as I
thought first. I start working on two new
sites. First is new affiliate marketing project and second is another
addition to my travel sites group.
So I have a lot of work, but you know - productivity is the key. I have
ideas for another few sites so I must increase productivity. In last few
days I note brutal decrease of AdSense income so I badly need some new
sites.
You can always do more!
How to make sites with CTR almost 40% ?
We always think, that bunch of content is the best. But sometimes less
is more.
In one of my site Iīm using the concept of not too many informations.
All content is only in one page and in front and on bottom is PPC
Advertising. Good contect between ads, but not too many and almost
without any external links. That high
CTR is exception, but very nice exception, which deserve more
analysis and duplication in other web projects.
Your Wordpress blog crashed? You can export posts with this script
Before few days my 3 WP blogs crashed. I dont know, if it was some
problem with databases, or plugin, or with my hosting company (probably
so). After a week I try to delete some plugin databases, some files and
I try to go back to basic WP configuration. Nothing helps. Two sites was
with quite good traffic, so I must act fast. I download all WP files to
my harddisk and than deleted all files on server, except databases and
than I load new .htm only pages. It was necessary, becouse I was running
payed advertising on both sites. I left third site with low traffic only
with some major changes and after unsuccesful try to repair site I left
it as it was. After few week (2-4) the site becomes to full recover...
So it looks like some problem was at webhosting company (nothing that
unusual here).
When I was making new .htm pages, I need all old posts from Wordpress
databases. So i write small php script, which extract all posts for me.
If you think you may need script like that sometimes, you can download
it here (right click on this and "Save
as"). Than just copy this file to
your web space and than execute (www.yourweb.com/export.php)
And as last but no least - dont forget to backup data from your computer
often!
Do world really need new Windows Vista?
Microsoft is really big company and I know, how it works in big
companies. They just dont ask some important questions. So I ask - do
world really need new Windows? A lot of people is using Windows XP
without any big problems, except if they use passwords like "123456" or
st like that. The plot behind new Windows after 3.11 or Win98 was big
improvement. Have W-Vista any new big improvements? (I dont count new
icons)
Or is it just need from Microsoft to make big money?
Niche content or mainstream content?
You can make easily nice profits in niche content. But can you make big
profits in those low traffic niches? Not in Czech Republic. If you want
decent profit, you must go in bigger traffic mainstream content. You can make one site for small niches, but if
you want to make really big money, you must think big. Its not that easy
(to both think and do big)
, but its the only way for me.
Last year I make really good site with high traffic - and our "great" big
search engine fuck me off becouse of I added PPC advertising on my site.
Nice. But I fight back, of course
You can always deal with any
problem, if you want to be good enterprener.
So this year I try to make it really big, and you should do that also!
Brtiney Spears is bad?
Every body is criticizing Britney Spears becouse of her partying with
Paris Hilton. I say - Britney go ahead! You have some money, so have
fun!
Britney was working so hard, so she deserve to have some fun and enjoy
life. Its big change for her and not much people was ready for that
change. But everybody must live with changes. Everything is changing,
also Britney. I am not her fun, I just like few of her early songs.
So, this is my advice for everybody - enjoy your life, mayby you will
not be here tomorrow.
CīMAN - HAVE FUN
We all know rat race. Its here and we live like that. Few of us are even
workoholics (I am with one my foot between them)
But I think, its not
that bad. We just must intelligently manage our money. Most important
things are our time, our friends, our fun. NOT important things are big
tv, big car, big flat or thing like that. You can always have some small
cheap Tv (I actually have one) and I tell you - I really dont need any
big 1000 inch Plazma model. The same situation with other things. Use
money to expand your time with friends, have fun, live your life. Money
isnīt that important.
Next big problem of this and next generation is artificial world. For
old persons is only world, in which they live, the world on Tv screen. They
practically live lives of Tv stars. They come from work and first thing,
what they do, is switch on Tv and starts watching. They just forget, that
itīs not their life, which they are living.
It looks to me like a big problem - we just need less television!
For younger generation is also very big problem computer games and
another artifical online worlds. Hours and hours spend with computer and
virtual friends, virtual experience and virtual life. And I can tell
you, I know that very well. In my early years, I was playing for whole
days and weeks and I waste a lot of time
More dangerous are online games - same problem, but more addictive.
I dont say playing games or watching tv is wrong, but think about your own
life either.
My plan is make some decent money, and than fry myself at some beautiful
beach with of course few beautiful girls
